MAIN SUPPORT MEETINGS MEETING VENUES
We would like to thank the Sportsman's Club for the use of their premises for our monthly support meetings. The room we have is suitable and parking is easy.
RGU TALK BY SONIA GOW
Thank you to Sonia Gow who again performed her talk 'A Parent's Perspective' to 2nd year Midwifery Students at RGU. It was well attended and we handed out a copy of 'Guidelines for Professional' to all attendees. Thank you also to RGU for allowing Sonia tell her story and raise awareness of our group.
RGU INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE MIDWIFE AWARENESS
We were invited again, thank you to the students organizing the event, to host a stand at this event on the 6th May at RUG. . Thank you to Snadra Stephen, Susan Masser and Aimee Fowlie who raised awareness of our group.
TALK TO CRUSE BEREAVEMENT,ABERDEEN. AWARENESS
Thank you to Sandra Stephen who did a talk on the support we offer in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire to this lovely group of counsellors. They had many interesting questions about our group and kindly gave a donation of £20.00

MEMORIAL SERVICE 26th JUNE HAZELHEAD PARK at 2.15PM.
Susan Masser and Hayley Ball are planning a memorial service for the summer at Hazlehead Park Cafe with a 'Walk A Mile In My Shoes Event at 1.30pm There will be refreshments after the service at the Park Cafe. If you wish to attend please email email@example.com. for numbers for catering.
We have purchased furniture for the new Multipurpose Room in the Rubislaw Ward which should now be in place.
BAIRD FAMILY HOSPITAL
Fiona Donald and Susan Forysth have joined the Communications group of the Baird Family Hospital who will meet every few months. Gail Thomson from the project, kindly showed our committee the initial layout plans for the new hospital.
MATERNITY LIASON COMMITTE
The committee continues to meet with Fiona Donald and Susan Forsyth in attendance, ensuring that SANDS is involved in shaping the Maternity Services in the Grampian area for the future. If the any parent has any feedback they would like taken to the committee, good and not so good, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
GRAMPIAN CHILD BEREAVEMENT NETWORK
Fiona Donald and Sandra Stephen are still attending meetings and the GCB Network group is involved in creating a website, which will indicate all the support available to children who have suffered a family loss in the Grampian area.
BEETLE DRIVE 3RD JUNE
The annual Beetle Drive will be held in Airyhall Community Centre at 7.15pm prompt. Could all SANDS parents please bring some home bakes for the refreshments and a raffle prize. It is good fun whilst raising money for a good
SCOTTISH NETWORK DAY
The next Network Day when the Scottish Groups get together is Saturday June 11th 2016, at the Thistle Hotel in Glasgow. If you think you may attend please get in touch with email@example.com and perhaps a few could go together.
