NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2015
A big thank you to Judith McKenzie for being our treasurer so diligently over the last few years and also to Julie Jamieson for her role on the committee. We welcomed Debbie Fraser onto the committee, thank you Debbie.
BAIRD FAMILY HOSPITAL
Thanks to Sandra Stephen, Fiona Donald, Claire Reith and Susan Forsyth for attending the Maternity workshop for the Baird Family, where we have been involved in the basic outline planning of the hospital.
The benches have arrived for the Rubislaw Ward garden and we would like to thank Chloe McIntyre again for her funding and assistance with this project. Chloe has been working closely with Sandra Stephen to upgrade the garden area. We have also provided beds for fathers to sleep on for the Rubislaw Ward and the other wards in the Maternity Hospital.
The Baby Room in the Rubislaw Ward has just been refurbished and we have funded this worthwhile project. There is to be a separate entrance eventually into the Rubislaw Ward which avoids the front door into the hospital if parents wish to exit/enter this way.
MAIN SUPPORT MEETING VENUE
We are now holding our main support meetings at the Sportsman Club Aberdeen, 11 Queens Road. There is car parking behind and it is on a bus route.
A BIG THANK YOU
We would like to say a big thank you to the kind and thoughtful person who placed beautiful plants in our planters at Hazelhead Baby Cemetery.
