OPENING OF BABY MEMORIAL GARDEN
After 6 years of hard work our Baby memorial garden is now finished. The Lord Provost of Aberdeen opened to garden on the 29th June 2014. It was a lovely ceremony.
MATERNITY LIASION COMMITTEE
The committee continues to meer with Fiona and Susan attending. Their attendance ensures SANDS continuedinvolvement in shaping the Maternity Services in the Grampian are for the future. These parents have also taken part in the bereavement care review group.
RGU INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE MIDWIFE
Trainee midwives at RGU held an International Day of the Midwife with interesting speakers from around the world. Fiona and Sonia had a table at the event and provided information about our group to the attendees.
BEREAVEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY DAY
In May, Aberdeen SANDS was able to fund a Bereavement Photography Study Day. This was attended by 10 staff from Rubislaw. The ffedback we received was excellent and included this thank you from one of the midwives.

Congratulations on the safe arrival of Maia Macy Brooks, born to Layla and Graham and proud grandparens Les and Helen Willox on 14th April 2014, sister to the late Macy.
