HAZELHEAD BABY CEMETERY MEMORIAL GARDEN
The memorial garden, centre paving has now been laid with planting around the stone
commencing shortly. In the Autumn, roses will be planted as a more permanent feature.
The Lord Provost will officially open our baby garden at Hazlehead Cemetery on
Sunday 29th June at 2pm . All invited so please put this date in your diary.

Befriender Training will be held on June 7th and 8th in Aberdeen. There is follow up
training for those who did their intiial training a year ago in Ayrshire on 6th September, with
their befriender training being held in Ayrshire on the 1st and 2nd November.

CHRISTMAS MEMORIAL SERVICE
The Christmas services was well attended, a big thank you to Mark Rodgers for his
lovely service. Thank you to all who made purchases of cards etc. at the children's
Christmas party and in the ARI dining we raised £322.00.
MATERNITY LIASION COMMITTE
The commttiee continues to meet with Fiona Donald and Susan Forsyth in
attendance, ensuring that SANDS is involved in shaping the Maternity Services
in the Grampian area for the future.
A PARENTS PERSPECTIVE TALK' RGU trainee midwives
A big thank you to Sonia Gow, who did her talk 'A parent's perspecve' to the 2nd year trainee
midwives at RGU accompanied by Fiona Donald.
There was a good turnout and Sonia as well as sharing her story of her precious baby girl also raised awareness of our group.
ELLON FIRE STATION OPEN DAY MAY 31st 1.30PM until 4.00pm
Fiona and Judith attended Ellon Fire staon and were asked by Graham Batty if SANDS would like to have a table at their Fire Station open day.
If you would like to help with the stall which will just be handing out leaflets and selling pens etc. and maybe a small quiz for the chiildren please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to Layla and Helen Willox and Catherine and Dod Stewart and family for selling Christmas cards at Mastrick community centre Christmas fair and raising 96.00 thank you.
Lynn Hosie held a dress down day at her work at NHS24 and raised £100.00 in memory of her precious baby Aiden.
The family of Macy Brooks (Layla and Graeme the parents of Macy, and Helen Willox grandparent) who donated £100.00 in her memory at Christmas.
Katie and Simon Pearce for £200.00 they sold lots of cluer from their lo and donated it to SANDS in memory of William Pearce.
£83.10 from the Community Nurses in Inverurie raised at their Christmas lunch.
£20 from Donna Murray and also £30 Kirsty Matheson (Sandra's mum) in memory of Sandra and Davie Stephens daughter Beth.
Ellon Fire Staon did a big fundraiser collection around doors in their area and raised thousands of pounds. They donated £500.00 to our group a big thank you to them and to all who donated at the door to door collecon.
ANNUAL BEETLE DRIVE
Our annual Beetle Drive will be held at Craigiebuckler Church hall on 13th June 2014 at 7.30 pm prompt. It is great fun and at the same time we are raising funds for our group.
Refreshments are served and if SANDS parents could bring a friend or 2, a raffle prize and a some home bakes that would be great. Hope to swee you there
